More Space Thanks to the Free Ski Compartment / Our Little Booth—the Cozy Meeting Place on the Train
Your skis and snowboards will travel safely and comfortably on the Urlaubsexpress. A free ski compartment is available on board for your winter sports equipment. This leaves more space in your seating, reclining, or sleeper car for a relaxing trip.
We also have drinks and light refreshments available: At our kiosk, you can purchase beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks, among other things. Here, you can wind down the evening in a cozy atmosphere, strike up conversations with fellow travelers, and get in the mood for your winter vacation even while you’re still on the train.
The car train is back, too
Don’t want to go without your own vehicle during your winter vacation? Then take advantage of our car train service between Hamburg-Altona and Munich South. While you travel in comfort on the train, your car or motorcycle simply rides along with you. From Munich, you can reach numerous winter sports regions in Bavaria, Tyrol, and the Salzburg region.
Due to construction work at Innsbruck Central Station, vehicle transport will not be available in Innsbruck during the 2026/2027 winter season. Vehicle transport will therefore be offered exclusively between Hamburg and Munich this season.
