The time has come: Bookings for the 2026/2027 UEX winter season are now open! Starting today, you can book your trip on our night trains to Austria’s most beautiful ski resorts, as well as on our car train between Hamburg and Munich and back.
Whether it’s a winter vacation in Tyrol, a relaxing ski trip with the whole family, or a comfortable journey in your own car: With the Vacation Express, the best time of the year begins the moment you step on board. As the landscape rolls by outside, you’ll travel comfortably through the night and arrive at your destination the next morning well-rested and without the hassle of a long drive.

New this winter season is our especially affordable seating-class category. Starting at just 59 euros per person, you can travel comfortably overnight to your winter vacation destination. Of course, our tried-and-true reclining and sleeper cars are still available. This way, you can decide for yourself which travel category best suits your personal preferences and budget.
Hop on, sit back, and enjoy a relaxing overnight journey—the next morning, your winter vacation begins right at your destination. On the route between Hamburg and Munich—and in the opposite direction—your own vehicle can also travel with you upon request—pigdosed on the UEX car train.

Welcome to UEX Night: Relaxed overnight travel – even without taking your vehicle with you
The UEX Night offers you a relaxed and comfortable way to travel overnight – without any stress or hectic. Of course, our night trains can also be used without taking your vehicle with you. Simply hop on, lean back and travel comfortably overnight to your destination.
Thanks to numerous boarding stations along the routes, you remain flexible and can easily reach the UEX Night from Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Munich, Salzburg and many other cities.
Whether heading towards Austria or across Germany – the UEX Night takes you to your destination sustainably, comfortably and relaxed. You can look forward to comfortable couchette and sleeper carriages as well as breakfast in the morning on request.

With the Urlaubs-Express, you can travel to our popular UEX destinations in summer 2026 in an environmentally friendly, comfortable and stress-free way. Whether to the impressive Alpine world of Innsbruck or Villach – ideal for active vacations, hikes and enjoying nature – or conveniently to Munich and Lörrach as the perfect starting points for southern Germany, Switzerland and France: your journey begins in a relaxed manner as soon as you set off. You can also reach Hamburg and Düsseldorf directly and comfortably – right into the heart of lively cities.
Instead of having to put up with long car journeys, traffic jams or tolls, you can sit back and relax while your own vehicle simply travels with you. This allows you to remain flexible and mobile at your vacation destination. In our sleeper and couchette coaches, you can also enjoy a restful night and arrive at your destination feeling rested. In the couchette coach, you can travel with up to six people per compartment – ideal for families or groups. If you want more space, choose the Max2 couchette coach with a maximum of two occupied seats per compartment. The sleeper coach offers more privacy and service, including its own washroom. Enjoy the highest standard in the Junior Suite: two connected compartments with separate living and sleeping areas – perfect for couples or families.
