As the evening slowly draws to a close, your journey into the Salzburg mountains begins: You’ll travel comfortably overnight to Saalfelden on the Urlaubs-Express. Instead of a long drive on winter roads, you can sit back and spend the night on board—by the next morning, the mountains will already be within arm’s reach. From the Saalfelden train station, you’ll continue by public transportation toward Saalbach Hinterglemm. This way, you’ll reach the Skicircus with ease and can start your winter vacation feeling relaxed. Even on the way there, you’ll be treated to the impressive backdrop of the Salzburg mountains. Once you arrive in Saalbach and Hinterglemm, you’ll find a region where almost everything revolves around winter sports: mountain railways, numerous lodges, and an extensive network of slopes ensure varied days in the snow.

The Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn Ski Circus offers 270 kilometers of downhill runs and 70 cable cars and lifts. From easy blue runs to varied red runs and challenging black runs, nearly every winter sports enthusiast will find the right route here. Numerous ski huts along the way invite you to take a break and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.

What makes it special is its enormous variety: From the Schattberg and Zwölferkogel, through the Reiterkogel, all the way to Leogang and Fieberbrunn, you can explore the ski area on a never-ending variety of routes. Those who like to rack up lots of kilometers can connect large sections of the Skicircus—while those who prefer a more leisurely pace can simply choose their favorite area.

You’ll also enjoy flexible travel within the region. Ski buses connect numerous towns, ski lifts, and boarding points. This allows you to plan your day on the slopes however you like, depending on your mood and the weather, without having to rely on your own car.
