Let’s go for  the snow with the Urlaubs-Express! Also in winter 2020/21 the “UEX” again offers great train connections to the most beautiful winter sports areas of Bavaria and Austria.

During the winter season, two train pairs run weekly: the UEX Tyrol travels with exits in Munich, Kufstein, Wörgl, Jenbach, Innsbruck, Ötztal and Landeck-Zams directly to the legendary St. Anton am Arlberg. The route of the UEX Salzburger Land leads via Munich to Kirchberg, Kitzbühel, St. Johann i T., Saalfelden, Zell am See, Schwarzach St. Veit and St. Johann im Pongau to Bischofshofen. On certain days of traffic UEX ends in Garmisch-Partenkirchen after its journey via Innnsbruck, Mittenwald and Seefeld in Tyrol. All destinations can be booked from the north (e.g. Hamburg, Bremen, Hanover) and from the Ruhr Area and Rhineland. For the first time, the UEX also offers ski fans in Berlin a direct connection from Berlin Hbf and Bahnhof Zoo. Also new in the UEX winter 20/21: Vehicle transport is now possible on the route Düsseldorf – Innsbruck – Düsseldorf. The popular motorail routes Hamburg – Munich – Hamburg and Hamburg – Innsbruck – Hamburg will of course still be available.

You travel in comfortable sleeping and couchette cars. In response to popular demand from many guest the Urlaubs-Express has created a new booking category in the couchettes: In addition to booking whole compartments and single seats, our couchette guests can now also choose “Single seat Max4”. In this case your compartment will only be occupied by a maximum of four people. When booking a single berth without a 4-person supplement, up to six people can travel in one compartment.

Our other booking classes Couchette Car – Compartment Booking, Sleeping Car (compartment booking only) and Junior Suite (compartment booking only) remain unchanged. As a special service on all UEX trains, seat reservation is automatically included at no extra cost !

When you book your UEX ticket, you also have the option of booking an additional breakfast. The price of 8.90 euros includes a hot drink, 2 fresh rolls, margarine, jam, Nutella and sausage spread. So you start the day rested and strengthened.

A further highlight for our ski train guests: your bulky winter sports equipment such as skis or snowboards can be transported in luggage compartments at no extra charge and will not take up any space in your booked compartment.
