New: From summer 2025 to Munich South
With the start of the 2025 summer program, the Urlaubs-Express will move to Munich. Car loading and passenger boarding and disembarking will then take place at the newly built Munich South Terminal. The current Munich East Terminal will have to make way for construction work and will be dismantled. From May 2025, all Urlaubs-Express trips to Munich will therefore be operated to/from the new terminal. The winter service trains until 22.03.2025 will still run to/from Munich East.
The new Munich South Terminal is conveniently located on the edge of the Grossmarkthalle site in Munich’s Sendling district on Thalkirchner Straße. Car loading and collection takes place at platform 49. The passenger platform is at platform 25 and access for passengers is of course barrier-free.
UEX passengers who have still booked for the Munich East terminal for summer 2025 will be rebooked automatically. They do not have to do anything. The dimensions, vehicle data and capacities etc. will not change. You will receive your tickets and transport documents by e-mail in good time before departure. Bookings made from 14.02.2025 will be automatically transferred to Munich South.
