JENBACH

Station Jenbach

Jenbach is located in the Unterinntal valley in the silver-mining region of Karwendel. With a population of just under 7,000, Jenbach is one of the 20 market towns in Tyrol. Locals and guests alike appreciate Jenbach’s location between the foothills of the Karwendel mountains and the Rofan mountains, as well as its proximity to Lake Achensee. In summer, the mountains invite you to go hiking and of course our motorcyclists also find their winding routes through Tyrol. Tratzberg Castle, which was built between the villages of Stans and Jenbach over 500 years ago, is always worth a visit. Travelling on the two historic trains from Jenbach is also a special experience. The oldest cogwheel locomotive has been transporting guests and locals to Lake Achensee for over 100 years. After 7 kilometres and a 45-minute drive, you reach the landing stage, where you can take a boat out on the lake. Photo: Adobe Stock/Nur Fatihah
