Salzburg is the Mozart city, it is the festival city and it is always worth a visit because it is simply beautiful. Whether you go to Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Palace or Mozart’s birthplace, there are probably few cities in Europe that combine so much beauty in such a small space. Nevertheless, Mozart outshines everything in this little town. He was the master and he also deserves the honour in his homeland. Mozart was born here in 1756. The Mozart residence on Makartplatz and the house where he was born on Getreidegasse are museums that recall his extraordinary childhood.
