This is how we accommodate you – Our sleeping and couchette carriages
The couchette coach – relaxed travel with plenty of space
The couchette car is the basic service on our UEX night trains. Our spacious compartments are occupied by a maximum of four to six people (plus children under four without their own bed) when booking a compartment.
There is also the category „Max2 couchette car”. Here you can book a single seat, but we will only place one additional person in a compartment. This provides more distance and, of course, more storage space in the compartment.
If you are travelling in a group, you will be together in the compartment, subject to booking and capacity. The carriages have tables and are equipped with reading lamps and curtains.
The sleeper car – while you dream of the destination, we take you there
Our comfortable compartments are occupied by up to three people on the night trains. The tried and tested Urlaubs-Express sleeping cars have their own wash area with power socket in each compartment. Our sleeping cars usually run at the front or end of the train. This ensures little through-traffic in the corridors and an optimal night’s rest. Our crew will take you to the loading station orthe intermediate stops and is always available to answer questions.

The Junior Suite – the top category in the Urlaubs-Express
Our Junior Suites are the top offer on the Urlaubs-Express. Experience the comfort and space of two sleeper compartments connected by an intermediate door. By separating the living and sleeping areas, for example, one of the travellers can already go to bed and the other can still read something. Children can sleep undisturbed while parents stay in the living area and enjoy the evening. With one washing facility each in the bedroom and living area, you can freshen up independently. The Junior Suites are occupied by a maximum of three people and can only be booked in their entirety. Enjoy plenty of freedom of movement and additional storage space.
