Ötztal
Skiing in the Ötztal means enjoying more of everything: six ski areas, including two glacier ski areas, over 350 kilometres of pistes and a perfect infrastructure await you. With Sölden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, two of the most famous winter holiday destinations in the Alps are located in the valley. The concentrated diversity awaits visitors on two boards. The Hochoetz-Kühtai ski region and the smaller areas in Vent, Niederthai and Gries are cosy and familiar. Sölden, one of the most famous ski and snowboard centres in Europe, lives up to its name as the Heartbeat of the Alps: 31 state-of-the-art lifts take you up to 3,340 metres above sea level, and 144 kilometres of pistes take you back downhill. Two glacier ski areas complete with snowmaking provide an absolute guarantee of snow. Ski World Cup and cool side events are part of the standard programme. What’s special about Sölden? Skiers can get to the ski area directly from the village.
