Urlaubs-Express is looking for: Loading assistant (m/f/d) for motorail trains
We are looking for you as a loading assistant (m/f/d) for our national and international vacation express car trains from Hamburg Hbf and Düsseldorf Hbf. Our customers travel overnight in sleeping or couchette cars with their car or motorcycle “piggybacked” on the rails to various destinations in Germany and abroad. As a loading assistant, you will ensure a safe and orderly ascent onto our double-decker car transport wagons, secure the cars with push bars and lash down the motorcycles. When the train returns, you will take care of unloading.
We are looking for you for two to four assignments per week in our two seasons (summer trains from May to October, winter trains from the end of December to the end of March).

The times are for the early shift from approx. 7:30 to 10:00 (incoming trains on Friday and Sunday) and in the late shift (departing trains on Wednesday and Friday) from approx. 16:30 to 20:30. Occasionally you will travel with the train and also work at the destination, e.g. in Munich, Lörrach or Innsbruck.
We are looking for mini-jobbers (556-euro basis) as well as part-time or full-time employees. We offer a good basic salary and attractive bonus arrangements. We will provide you with your work clothes. As a seasonal company, we work with annual working time accounts. If there is a lot to do in the high season, you will have longer periods off during the seasonal breaks.
You will receive thorough instruction from our loadmasters and will be trained on the job as a loading assistant. If you get railroad fever, you can gain further qualifications for various technical professions in the railroad industry.
Your requirements: You are physically fit and can move skillfully and safely in confined spaces and on the upper deck at a height of 2.50 meters. You have a basic knowledge of German. You are meticulous and never satisfied with a botched job. You have a certain physical understanding of the effects of forces. You also have a sense of responsibility, reliability, team spirit, friendliness and a sense of adventure – no two loadings are the same. Of course, we also load in the dark and in bad weather.
